Merry Christmas Eve! I know this post is one day earlier than normal, but tomorrow will be a busy day for everyone. I hope you’re getting to spend the holidays with family and friends, wherever you are.
Ryan and I are celebrating Christmas with his family this year, but we’ll drive up to visit my family for a couple nights, too. I’m excited to see everyone and spend time with family members that we don’t see more than once or twice a year.
This year, we took our “family” Christmas card photos over Thanksgiving, in the pastures behind my parents’ home in North Georgia. Last year, getting one dog to look at the camera was difficult, but two was even tougher. I can’t imagine what it will be like when we’re trying to corral children! Here are some of the outtakes:
seriously, I don’t even know what I was doing here… and both the dogs were distracted.
Goose looks great, but Poppy’s tongue is way out there…what was she doing anyways?
Me, deciding that this pose is not going to work for us at all.
Goose looks so adorable here, but I definitely did NOT like this pose. Also, side note, I thought that I bought this sweater in a size XL, so it should’ve hung perfectly over my leggings. It felt SO tight when I put it on for photos, and I was like, “wow…. what happened in the last week? Am I THAT bloated?” Turns out, I bought a L—not an XL.
So what finally made the cut, you’re asking? Well, if you didn’t receive my Christmas card (I ended up with an extra 50 cards, by the way, but that’s another story), here’s our photo:
Yep, neither dog is looking at the camera, but oh well!
So Merry Christmas, from our little family to yours. We wish you peace and happiness through this wonderful season, and we hope you celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in the warm embrace of loved ones.
Love, Emma & Ryan
